Recipe
- 1/2 cup greek yogurt
- 1 cup oats blended (both steel cut or rolled work)
- 1 tbs maple syrup/ honey
- 1/3 cup sweetener of choice (I use splenda)
- 6 tbs milk of choice
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup milk chocolate chips
Baking Tips
- you can use almond flour or all purpose flour instead of blending oats. I recommend adding in the flour a little at a time and mixing in gradually to make sure you get the perfect consistency
- Other topping options: Oreo chunks, peanut butter cups, frosting (see a recipe below).
- You could also add in cookie dough to make these into brookies. I’ll link my chocolate chip cookie recipe below!
- Greek yogurt helps keep the batter a thick consistency so I recommend using it instead of regular yogurt for this recipe
How To Bake
- combine greek yogurt syrup, milk, and egg in a bowl and mix
- in a separate bowl combine all the dry ingredients: blended oats, baking powder, cocoa powder, salt
- add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well
- add in the chocolate chips and any other toppings if you chose
- Bake at 350 for about 25 minutes and enjoy!
