- 1 stick (8 tbs) butter at room temperature
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tbs corn starch
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 cup Chocolate chips (you can use any type or amount, I used dark chocolate)
- optional: a pinch of sea salt
How To Bake
- Add your butter, white sugar, and brown sugar to a bowl. mix until you get a creamy texture with no clumps
- Then, add in the eggs
- In a separate bowl, mix together your dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and sea salt (optional)
- Add in the dry mixture to the wet mixture and combine until a dough forms
- Add in chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a baking tray with parchment paper or oil to prevent the cookies from sticking
- Bake for 20-25 minutes and Enjoy!
How You Can Customize This Recipe
- Use any type of chocolate chip, any amount that you prefer
- Substitute chocolate chips for another mix in, or add multiple mix-ins: peanut butter cups, mnms, etc
- Adding frosting
- Instead of using cocoa powder, you can add in 1 tsp of vanilla extract to just make regular chocolate chip cookies!
